As we approach the end of the year, the Caresfield Cares program focused on two objectives in December. First we supported long-term research to improve the lives of those with digestive disorders. Then in the short term, we collected toys to make the holidays brighter for children in need.
Spin4 Crohn’s and Colitis Cures
One of our customers, a gastroenterology group, suggested we support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. We thought it was a great idea, so three of our team members took part in spin4 crohn’s and colitis cures ride. Together, Amber, Kacie and Stefanie raised over $1,000 to support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Although they live in Florida, Texas and Minnesota respectively, they rode together online earlier this month.

Stefanie was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2007. Due to the diagnosis, she was already familiar with the foundation. The organization helped her navigate the diagnosis early on. She was happy to participate in the ride because the foundation funds research into treatments that help her stay in remission and maintain a high quality of life. Toys 4 Tots Donation
In addition to the ride, Caresfield served as a drop-off point for Toys 4 Tots donations in December. Staff filled a box to make the holidays brighter for children in need. Employees based in Minnesota brought toys to the collection while remote employees around the country donated money to purchase additional playthings.

Caresfield People Operations Manager Stephanie Pedro was touched by the number of toys donated, as well as employee’s contributions to the Caresfield Cares program throughout the year.
“We have a really remarkable team,” Pedro said. “We’ve seen team members come together to donate blood, write thank you notes for healthcare workers, make sandwiches for the homeless, pack food for less fortunate children around the world and now donate toys for kids in need during the holidays. One of our core values is a commitment to caring, and our team consistently delivers in the communities we serve.”
